Fence to be erected at Sheboygan low-income housing complex to control trash
The project will cost an estimated $13,000
SHEBOYGAN — Apparently, trash has become such an issue at Sunnyside Townhouses that a fence needs to be installed to control it.
Partners for Community Development, the owner of the low-income housing complex, is proposing to build a $13,000 six-foot fence along the entirety of their property on Weeden Creek Road near South 12th Street. According to the non-profit organization, they need to install the fence to control trash and debris blowing from the complex into the street and neighboring properties. “We hope that building this fence will alleviate issues for the neighbors, and improve our relationship with the community,” said Konrad Koehler, Special Project Manager at Partners.
Sunnyside Townhouses is located at 1024 Weeden Creek Road in City of Sheboygan. While the property is within the City, single family homes are within the Town of Wilson to the south and east. The complex features two and three-bedroom, two-story units with two playgrounds, a basketball court and assigned parking.
The residents are mostly low-income individuals and single parent families.
