Kohler Beltline to close for reconstruction
Speed limit will likely be lowered and traffic lanes will be eliminated
KOHLER — County Road PP between Sheboygan and Kohler will close on May 7th for a months long reconstruction project.
The Sheboygan County Highway Department will reconstruct the Kohler Beltline between South Taylor Drive in Sheboygan and Highland Drive in Kohler. Two roundabouts will be added, with the first at County Road AA and County Road PP and the second at Highland Drive and County Road PP.
In addition, the beltline will be reduced to two lanes instead of its current four lanes. The speed limit will also be lowered according to a source with knowledge of the plans to reconstruct the Kohler Beltline.
County Road PP will be closed to traffic beginning Monday, May 7th between South Taylor Drive in Sheboygan and Highland Drive in Kohler. Additionally, County Road A will be closed at County Road A.
Drivers will be able to access the Village of Kohler from Highway 23 or Lower Falls Road in Sheboygan Falls. The closure is expected to last mid-August according to the Highway Department.
