The two Republican candidates will meet in Oostburg for a debate
OOSTBURG — The two Republican candidates for the 27th Assembly District will participate in a debate later this month.
The debate is scheduled for 7 PM on Monday, July 22nd at Veterans Park in Oostburg and will feature Lindee Brill and Brian Hilbelink. The event is being sponsored by the Republican Party of Sheboygan County and Chairman Russ Otten will serve as the debate emcee.
Winner of the Republican primary will face Democrat Kay Ladson of Fond du Lac.
Brill has raised $5,600 while Hilbelink has reported raising $5,202 with $4,700 of that being a personal loan from himself. The only sizable contribution to his campaign came from Republican Amy Binsfeld, who is running for re-election in the 26th Assembly District. She will face Democrat Joe Sheehan, former Superintendent of the Sheboygan Area School District.
As of 12 PM, Ladson has not submitted a legally required campaign finance report due Monday, July 15th.
